Background:

Fifth-generation (5G) wireless technology will form the backbone of future economies and public services. Newly networked societies will be critically reliant on innovative new applications, and first movers in this space will reap massive rewards as access to 5G continues to proliferate across the globe. Competition around the technology is already fierce, and the companies and countries that come out on top will be positioned for success for years to come. Please join us as we host FCC Chair Ajit Pai to discuss where the United States fits into this competition, the future of 5G, and the unique national security challenges associated with this technology.
