Ambassador Frederick D. Barton, Lecturer of Public and International Affairs; and Co-Director, Scholars in the Nation's Service Initiative, Woodrow Wilson School of Public & International Affairs, Princeton University

Frederick Barton has taught at Woodrow Wilson from 2001-2005, including as the Frederick Schultz Professor from 2001-2002, and since 2015. He was the first Assistant Secretary of State for Conflict and Stabilization Operations  (2011-2014), U.S. Ambassador to the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations in New York (2009-2011), Senior Advisor at the Center for Strategic and International Studies (2002-2009), Deputy High Commissioner for Refugees at UNHCR (1999-2001), and founding Director of USAID's Office of Transition Initiatives (1994-1999). Read more.
