A virtual keynote discussion about the future of the pandemic with Dr. Peter Katona of UCLA.

As we approach the summer, the public is getting mixed messages about the course of COVID-19 pandemic. In some parts of the country, the number of patients being admitted to hospitals is leveling off and beginning to fall, while in others new outbreaks are appearing. There has been talk of “reopening the economy” within weeks, at the same time there are warnings about an elevated risk that will continue into the new year.

To help us make sense of how to best keep ourselves and our communities healthy in the coming months, Dr. Peter Katona from the UCLA Fielding School of Public Health and David Geffen School of Medicine will provide a virtual keynote on the latest science on the global pandemic and what we should expect.

Featuring:

Dr. Peter Katona, Clinical Professor of Medicine, David Geffen School of Medicine; and Adjunct Professor of Public Health, Fielding School of Public Health, UCLA

Peter Katona has worked at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and has held appointments at LSU and the LA County EMS Agency. Read more.
