Join the Pacific Council for an informative and thought-provoking webinar on Israel's recent proposed judicial reforms and the subsequent protests. Over the past year, Israel has undergone significant changes in its judicial system, including the appointment of new judges and the establishment of new courts. The proposed reforms have sparked debates among legal scholars, policymakers, and the public, raising important questions about the independence and accountability of the judiciary.

Our panel of speakers, including scholars and practitioners, will explore the implications of these proposed reforms for Israel's democracy and the rule of law. They will discuss the impact of the new appointments on the composition of the Supreme Court and lower courts and the potential consequences for the balance of power between the judiciary, the executive, and the legislature. The conversation will also examine how the proposed reforms are impacting Israel’s relations with its traditional allies.
