Louise Henry Bryson served on the Board of Trustees for the J. Paul Getty Trust for twelve years, including four as Chair of the Board. She was made Chair Emerita in 2010. Ms. Bryson has had a thirty-four year career in media. She was President of Distribution for Lifetime Television and EVP and GM of Lifetime Movie Networks. Previously, she was SVP at Fox Networks and responsible for distribution of Fox Inc.’s new cable television channels. She also represented Fox-owned and affiliated stations in retransmission negotiations with all cable and satellite companies in the U.S. Ms. Bryson is a Trustee of seven American Funds and Pomona College, and on the Board of Directors of Huntington Memorial Hospital and the California Community Foundation. Ms. Bryson started her career as a producer and writer for Public Television. She is a Trustee of WETA in DC and a Lifetime Trustee of Southern California Public Radio. She was Board Chair of KCET in Los Angeles, and a former member of the PBS National Board, which honored her with the 1998 Award for Excellence in Public Television Leadership. She has an MBA and MAT from Stanford University and BA from University of Washington. She was elected a Fellow of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences in April 2010.
