Gray has been advising international projects since 2006, when he began analyzing large financial packages for a client in Mexico with global reach. That work took him throughout the Americas, including to a multibillion-dollar bank in Ecuador and a resort hotel in the mountains of Canada. He also consulted foreign organizations doing business in Mexico, such as by spearheading a relationship between a prestigious Chicago-based foundation and a growing orphanage in Toluca.

In 2014, Gray started working with Fortune 500 companies on their corporate social responsibility programs in Mexico, mainly by engaging employees to help out their communities. The organization he founded has activated tens of thousands of volunteers, aiding a variety of nonprofit causes throughout the country.

Prior to his 12+ years in Mexico, Gray was a journalist. His dispatches ranged from the story of a teenage clown to one of the first reports on George Tenet’s post-CIA view of Iraq. He was on one of the first flights after September 11th; He spent the spring and summer of 2005 embedded with the U.S. Army in Iraq.

Gray began his career in the entertainment industry alongside some of the top names in the business, including Forest Whitaker and Jonathan Demme. He also worked on Broadway as an office assistant to producers Lewis Allen and Robert Whitehead as well as briefly in the wardrobe department of “The Lion King.”

Gray was born and raised in New York City. He holds a B.A. in political science from the University of California at Berkeley, a M.S. in project management from the University of Southern California, and an MBA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

He currently lives in the Charlotte area with his wife, four children, and dog.
