Andrew Boyle is Counsel in the Liberty and National Security Program of the Brennan Center for Justice at NYU School of Law. Immediately prior to joining the Brennan Center, he worked for seven years prosecuting senior Khmer Rouge leaders on behalf of the United Nations for war crimes, crimes against humanity, and genocide, following a year serving in the trial chambers of the International Criminal Tribunal for Rwanda working on cases resulting from the 1994 Rwandan genocide. He previously completed a fellowship in the Brennan Center’s Democracy Program, and clerked for The Honorable Helene N. White, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. He is a graduate of UCLA School of Law and Boston University.
