The Pacific Council operates in cooperation with the University of Southern California (USC). We have enjoyed an ongoing relationship since the founding of the Council on USC campus. Both institutions share a commitment to increasing understanding of the global forces affecting the West Coast, the Pacific region, and the world.
At the Pacific Council, we work closely with USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism and with the USC Center on Public Diplomacy.
Each President of the Pacific Council – founder Dr. Abraham F. Lowenthal (1995-2005), Dr. Geoffrey Garrett (2005-2008), and Dr. Jerrold D. Green (2008-present) – has also held an academic appointment at USC that facilitates a relationship of joint programming, leadership collaboration, and connections among students, faculty, and Pacific Council members.
