Thank you for choosing to join us on our culinary social impact experience with Miry’s List and their New Arrival Supper Club on Wednesday, Dec. 5th from 6-8 PM in the Arts District in Downtown LA! Location to be confirmed upon registration.

Miry’s List is a movement of neighbors and friends dedicated to welcoming new arrival refugee families into our community through inspired crowdsourcing solutions. This event will offer you the opportunity to bond with and learn from resettling neighbors over the universal language of food.

There will be an interview with the evening’s chef, the Kashefi family, about their story of coming to America from Afghanistan. The mom and dad duo, Bashir and Naseema, will prepare for us a big, family style dinner featuring an Afghan menu. Bashir served as an interpreter for the US military in Afghanistan and was granted Special Immigration Visas for his family. Naseema has recently prepared a staff lunch at CAA in honor of World Refugee Day.
