Erik Harper is a Canadian-American and recent graduate of Loyola Law School, where he focused on corporate, transactional, entertainment, and administrative law. He is currently awaiting the results of the July 2026 California Bar Examination and beginning his legal career in Los Angeles.

Erik's interest in international affairs is rooted in a binational upbringing. Raised in Victoria, British Columbia, he later moved to the United States to pursue his undergraduate education and NCAA Division I swimming career, first at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa and later at the University of Florida. As a collegiate swimmer, he trained and competed alongside Olympians from more than a dozen countries, experiences that deepened his appreciation for cross-cultural collaboration and shared purpose.

His professional experience has spanned law, sports, entertainment, and business. At Red Bull North America, Erik worked on commercial and sponsorship matters spanning U.S. and Canadian regulatory environments. At the National Football League, he supported media and production transactions surrounding international events and major league programming.

Erik is particularly interested in U.S.-Canada relations, cross-border trade and regulation, technology governance, and the role of Los Angeles as a Pacific-facing global city. He is also committed to civic engagement, including through pro bono work with Community Legal Aid SoCal. He speaks English and has studied French, Spanish, and German.
