Blaine Vess is a founder and investor with more than twenty-five years of experience building, scaling, and exiting companies. He founded Immeasurable, a private investment office focused on early-stage companies and venture funds in the United States, Latin America, Southeast Asia, and China.

Blaine co-founded Student Brands as a college freshman in 1999 and bootstrapped the company for eighteen years before it was acquired by Barnes & Noble Education in 2017 for $58.5 million. He later co-founded Solve, a travel services company that participated in Y Combinator’s Summer 2017 batch and was acquired by Blacklane. He is currently building companies that use artificial intelligence to solve practical, real-world problems.

Beyond investing, Blaine has supported films including Beyond Utopia, Assassins, and I Am Sun Mu, which address human rights issues in North Korea. He has been involved with Liberty in North Korea for more than fourteen years and previously served on the board of the Wende Museum, which preserves the history and legacy of the Cold War.

Blaine lives in Los Angeles with his wife and two daughters.
