
Joseph Leonard is an emerging voice in international relations and national security, with a particular focus on U.S. foreign policy in the Indo-Pacific. He is a member of the Pacific Council on International Policy, and as a recent Junior Fellow he authored work on Beijing's influence in California as well as the domestic implications of a Taiwan crisis.
Mr. Leonard studied Politics and International Relations at the University of Kent and spent two years in the British Army’s University Officer Training Corps. His work has centered on hybrid warfare, foreign malign influence, and security challenges facing Taiwan, and he is particularly interested in the role of public communication in shaping global affairs.
