Pacific Council Leaders of Tomorrow Project

The Leaders of Tomorrow project connects LA high school girls to female mentors and leaders in foreign policy. The project is designed in three parts:

  1. Connecting a group of LA high school girls to high-level women leaders in foreign policy through a mentorship program and in-person workshop;
  2. Working with the students to draft a field guide “So You Want to Change the World” with practical advice on international careers and curriculum on world events;
  3. sharing the students field guide with governmental leaders and policymakers in New York and DC, and asking for their recommendations on how to grow the program.

We're currently focused on securing $50,000 in start-up funding to get the project off the ground. This initial funding will allow Pacific Council to bring on our volunteer fellow in a paid capacity to ensure programmatic sustainability; recruit and convene our inaugural class of students and mentors; and convene a workshop to connect our LA student girls to women foreign policy leaders.
