This delegation will explore policy issues relating to regional security, energy, U.S. relations with both Norway and Finland, impacts of climate change on the Arctic in terms of security and trade, effects of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Finland’s shared border with Russia, and the increasing strategic importance of NATO.

We will engage with a variety of senior government, military, and business leaders as well as key members of civil society and U.S. diplomats. The Pacific Council is fortunate to have the former Co-Chairman of our Board of Directors, Marc Nathanson, serving as U.S. Ambassador to the Kingdom of Norway. Ambassador Nathanson is assisting the Pacific Council in organizing and hosting our visit, and will be spending time with our delegates.

We are pleased that our first international delegation since the beginning of the pandemic will be to Norway and Finland. These beautiful, culturally rich democratic nations are essential voices and security leaders throughout Europe and beyond. International delegations are only open to Pacific Council Sustaining Members. For registration and inquiries, please contact us at trips@pacificcouncil.org or 213-221-2001.
