The Pacific Council will host an exclusive roundtable discussion on Thursday, July 9, at 6 pm PT, to explore the strategic importance of quantum technologies and the conditions necessary to cultivate thriving quantum innovation ecosystems. On Wednesday, July 22, at 10 am PT, the Pacific Council will host a webinar to take stock of the complex and often contradictory effects of the critical minerals industry on Africa. On Thursday, August 27, at 3 pm PT, the Pacific Council is hosting a conversation to mark the one-year anniversary of the closure of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and examine the uncertain future of American humanitarian assistance abroad. Participants will hear from Tyler Beckelman, Nonresident Scholar with the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's Africa Program, Ebenezer Obadare, Douglas Dillon Senior Fellow for Africa Studies at the Council on Foreign Relations, and Michael Schiffer, Associate Fellow, Technology, Trade and Geopolitics Program at the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
