Sylvia Lee currently leads Facebook’s water and climate resilience sustainability program. Previously, she built the climate adaptation and water portfolio at the Skoll Global Threats Fund, which focused primarily on water and climate security. Sylvia began her career working as a consulting engineer on the design and construction of water and sanitation projects in the United States and the United Kingdom. She went on to serve as the Associate Director at the World Economic Forum’s Water Initiative in Switzerland, where she helped raise global awareness of water as a key global risk. She was also on the World Bank’s South Asia Water Initiative team that focused on transboundary water challenges in Asia. Sylvia is an engineering graduate of McGill University and MIT.
