Nancy McAniff Annick is a recently retired trust and estates lawyer. Nancy started her career as a corporate and securities lawyer at Sheppard, Mullin, Richter & Hampton in Los Angeles. After staying home with children and earning her L.L.M. in Tax, she switched practice areas and practiced trust and estate law at Hahn & Hahn LLP in Pasadena from 2011-2019. During the fall 2017 and 2018, Nancy co-taught Estate and Gift Tax Law at Loyola Law School.

Over the years, Nancy has volunteered at various non-profits serving communities in Los Angeles County, including the Los Angeles Children’s Chorus, Las Madrinas (a support group for Children’s Hospital Los Angeles), and Reading Partners. Currently, Nancy serves on the board of American Women for International Understanding (AWIU), where she is a member of the International Women of Courage (IWOC) Celebration Committee. Nancy was chair of the 2019 IWOC Celebration, and is Co-Chair of the 2021 IWOC Virtual Celebration. Nancy served on the boards of trustees of Polytechnic School and Mayfield Senior School in Pasadena, on the board of the Annapolis Parents Club of Southern California, and she is a member of the International Visitors Council of Los Angeles. When her children were younger, Nancy was involved with SafetyBeltSafe, U.S.A. as a Certified Child Passenger Safety Technician, for which she was a car seat checker and an educator on child passenger safety issues.

Nancy received her B.A. in Classics from Georgetown University (1986), her J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from the University of California at Berkeley (1990), and her L.L.M. in Tax from Loyola Law School-Los Angeles (2011). Nancy is a member of both the California and District of Columbia Bars. Nancy and her family lived in Hong Kong for the 2006-2007 school year, where Nancy studied Mandarin Chinese at Hong Kong University.
