
Medha Jaishankar is an award-winning filmmaker, media consultant, and entrepreneur working at the intersection of immersive media, global entertainment, and technology.
Her work spans feature films, television, digital media, and emerging entertainment technologies. Her producing credits include He Went That Way starring Jacob Elordi and Zachary Quinto (Hulu) and Please Don’t Feed the Children, directed by Destry Allyn Spielberg and starring Michelle Dockery and Giancarlo Esposito (Tubi). Her broader production work includes the award-winning short Night of the Bride (2023) and music videos that have collectively reached millions of viewers. She is currently developing several new projects, including a horror feature with a major Indian film star.
Jaishankar is also President of Omnivations Inc. (formerly Virtual Sonics), where she leads initiatives connecting media, technology, and global markets. Under her leadership, the company partnered with Sony to develop WalkMix Creator, the first creator-driven mixing software for Sony’s 360 Reality Audio, now natively integrated into Avid Pro Tools. She also spearheaded a distribution agreement with aerospace leader Safran, expanding spatial audio applications into aviation and inflight entertainment.
Her collaborations span organizations including Reliance, Mahindra, Sony, Safran, MTV, and the Sundance Institute, and industry leaders such as Jack Giarraputo, Phil Quartararo, and the late cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. In 2025, she joined A.R. Rahman’s Secret Mountain as an advisor.
Earlier in her career she co-founded the Mumbai Mantra–Sundance Institute Screenwriters Lab and produced for the BBC’s Talking Movies. She has mentored numerous emerging filmmakers through Roadmap Writers and AZN Americana, and serves on the boards of the Aaroogya AI Foundation, ICA (Indians for Collective Action), and the Asian World Film Festival.
