Ms.
Name:
Janice A Bowman
Founder, PACK
LONG BEACH, CA
United States

Janice Bowman was born and raised in Cape May, New Jersey.  She attended Drexel University’s LeBow College of Business before enlisting in the United States Coast Guard.  Janice served in the Eleventh Coast Guard District, with responsibilities at Coast Guard Sector San Diego.

At the conclusion of her Coast Guard service, Janice enrolled at the University of Southern California and immediately became involved in veteran nonprofits and service organizations. She has held committee and officer leadership positions in American Legion Pacific Palisades Post 283 and currently serves as the Engagement Director for Team RWB Los Angeles.

As the surviving partner of a service member, Janice feels personally invested in policy issues around military families, veteran reintegration, and meaningful veteran support programs.

Janice has produced several large special events and volunteers hundreds of hours a year and was recognized in 2018 with an award from the Guiding Star Board for her dedication to women veterans.  She is the founder of PACK, a nonprofit providing rescue, and training services that provide a dual benefit to both the dog and the veteran.  When she isn’t working or volunteering, Janice can be found exploring Los Angeles with her handsome blue-eyed dog, Archer.
