Godwin Egbe is a doctoral researcher in the Department of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies at the University of Mississippi, where his research focuses on terrorism, cybercrime, policing, victimology, social justice, and youth violence. He holds both bachelor's and master's degrees in sociology from Covenant University Nigeria. Godwin has a strong background in data analysis, research design, and policy evaluation. His teaching and research interests include terrorism, transnational crime, and American criminal justice systems, which showcase broad expertise in pressing global issues. Godwin has published several peer-reviewed articles, including studies on social unrest in Nigeria’s Niger Delta. His research has also been presented at international conferences such as the American Society of Criminology, the Academy of Criminal Justice Sciences, and International Business and Management Association conferences. He has earned multiple awards, including the prestigious Chancellor's scholarship as the Best Graduating Student in the Department of Sociology from Covenant University. Furthermore, aside from his academic achievements, Godwin is skilled in data analytics and proficient in SPSS, Stata, R, and Python. His professional experience includes serving as a Public and Government Affairs Analyst at ExxonMobil, where he engaged with government and traditional leaders, as well as overseeing corporate social responsibility projects.
