The Pacific Council is honored to host Ambassador (ret.) Eric Garcetti, former U.S. Ambassador to India and former Mayor of Los Angeles, in conversation with Dr. Jerrold D. Green, Interim President & CEO, on January 28 at 6 pm PT in Beverly Hills, with opening remarks by Arthur J. Ochoa, Senior Vice President and Chief Advancement Officer, Cedars-Sinai. The event will discuss how the United States can engage India in ways that advance shared democratic values, support economic and technological resilience, and contribute to long-term stability across the Indo-Pacific region.

Attendees will hear from Emily Desai, Chief Deputy Director, California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development, The Honorable Kushneruk Dmytro, Consul General of Ukraine in San Francisco, Patricia Utterback, International Trade and Investment Representative for Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and India, California Governor’s Office of Business and Economic Development (GO-Biz), and Andrew D’Anieri, Associate Director of the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center.

On Thursday, February 12, at 12 pm PT, the Pacific Council will host a private tour of The Sextant, followed by a conversation on U.S.–Cuba relations through the lens of art, history, and lived experience. Members will hear from the featured artist Enrique Martínez Celaya, Professor Teofilo Ruiz, Distinguished Research Professor from the Department of History at UCLA, and Joes Segal, Chief Curator and Director of Programming at the Wende Museum.
