On Thursday, February 12, at 12 pm PT, the Pacific Council will host a private tour of The Sextant, followed by a conversation on U.S.–Cuba relations through the lens of art, history, and lived experience. Members will hear from the featured artist Enrique Martínez Celaya, Professor Teofilo Ruiz, Distinguished Research Professor from the Department of History at UCLA, and Joes Segal, Chief Curator and Director of Programming at the Wende Museum.

On Wednesday, February 18th, at 9 am PT, the Pacific Council will explore how governments are moving away from scientific collaboration and are instead leveraging scientific capabilities to advance economic competitiveness, safeguard digital and technological infrastructure, and strengthen national security. Attendees will hear from Professor Paul Arthur Berkman, Fellow, International Science Council & Founder, Science Diplomacy Center, and Dr. Jonathan I. Lunine, Chief Scientist, Jet Propulsion Laboratory, NASA, and Pacific Council Science and Technology Senior Fellow.

On Wednesday, February 25, at 8 am PT, the Pacific Council is hosting an intimate breakfast roundtable featuring eminent political consultant Mike Murphy, Founder of the American EV Jobs Alliance, and Brian Goldsmith, Candidate for U.S. Senator of California and Pacific Council Board Director. This event will examine China’s dominance in electric vehicle manufacturing, its implications for the future of the global auto industry, and how policy, politics, and innovation influence U.S. competitiveness.
