Victoria L. Weatherford is an experienced first-chair trial partner in the San Francisco office of BakerHostetler LLP whose cross-border practice focuses on high-stakes litigation, appeals, and government enforcement matters involving consumer protection, intellectual property, and privacy and cybersecurity.

She previously served for four years as a Deputy City Attorney at the San Francisco City Attorney’s Office, where she enforced statewide California’s unfair competition, gun control, and health and safety laws, advised City officials, and created and led a multi-department public safety task force.  Her lawsuits garnered national headlines and resulted in tens of millions of dollars in civil penalties and statewide injunctive relief.

Ms. Weatherford is a 2020 American Bar Association “On the Rise” award recipient (one of forty nationwide), the 2018 UCLA Center for American Politics and Public Policy Alumni of the Year, and the 2017 Most Empowering San Francisco City Employee of the Year, and has received multiple Commendations from the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, the San Francisco Mayor, and the California State Senate and State Assembly.

She serves on the Executive Committee of the Federal Bar Association’s Bay Area chapter, and as a Board Director of the San Francisco Opera Guild. Ms. Weatherford is a Carnegie New Leader at the Carnegie Council, a 2018 U.S.-Spain Council Young Leader, and a 2018-2019 Leadership San Francisco graduate. She is a past Board Director for the YWCA Golden Gate - Silicon Valley.

Ms. Weatherford graduated from Yale Law School, where she served as a Notes Editor of the Yale Law Journal and Executive Editor of the Yale Journal on Regulation.  She received her Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Political Science from the University of California, Los Angeles, graduating summa cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, and received the UCLA Alumni Association Distinguished Senior Award.
