As Director of Development, Raymond Ortiz oversees philanthropic engagement and manages donor relations between Pacific Council and its community. Prior to his role at Pacific Council, Raymond graduated from California State University, Fullerton, with both his BA and MA in History. While in graduate school, Raymond specialized in gender and sexuality, queer studies, and women’s and gender history. After graduating, he pursued a career in fundraising and development for nonprofit organizations, having worked as a Community Outreach Coordinator for the LGBTQ Center of Orange County, an Executive Director at CCS Fundraising, and as the Development Operations Manager at World of Children. In development, Raymond has facilitated fundraising efforts across the religious, education, human services, child welfare, and international sectors. In the for-profit sector, Raymond served as the Director, Project Development for Rely-On Technologies where he oversaw all project administration and operations. Outside of work, Raymond is now serving in his second year on the Cal State Fullerton Alumni Association Board of Directors as the Vice President, Advocacy & Philanthropy. He identifies as part of the LGBTQ+ community and is an avid fan of professional wrestling.
