Kelley Newton is the Executive Coordinator to the President & Board at the Pacific Council on International Policy. She has more than a decade of frontline experience in the international relations field. Previously, she spent eight years with the Irish Department of Foreign Affairs, first in her capacity as the Political and Press Assistant at the Embassy in Washington, then as the Assistant to the Ambassador at the Irish Mission to the United Nations in New York. She holds a B.A. in European Studies from Seattle Pacific University, where she focused on Anglo-Irish relations as a senior capstone. She earned a Master of Arts degree in Visual Culture from New York University while working full time at the Irish Mission. Her Master’s thesis focused on the rise of the clothing industry and the fall of the dressmaker during a significant population boom in Los Angeles, 1890-1914. Kelley has been in the Oval Office four times with two sitting Presidents, has been a part of the President’s motorcade heading down Pennsylvania Avenue from the White House to the Capitol, and has ridden the train underneath the Capitol that transports Senators.
