David I. Fisher serves on the Investment Committee for Capital Group Private Markets. He has been at Capital Group for 45 years and is a global equity portfolio manager and chairman emeritus of Capital Group International, Inc. Earlier in his career at Capital, David was an equity investment analyst covering media, consumer electronics and electrical equipment companies, as well as director of research. Before joining Capital, he was an officer of Smith Barney & Co. and a marketing executive with General Electric Company.

David holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from the University of Missouri Graduate School of Business Administration. He serves as a member of the Los Angeles Society of Financial Analysts and the International Society of Security Analysts and serves as an advisory board member of the International Monetary Fund Retirement Plan. He is also on the board of Alliance College-Ready Public Schools, Brookings Institution, California Institute of the Arts, Harvard Westlake Board of Trustees, UCLA Luskin School of Public Affairs, and United Friends of the Children.
