Benefits and Opportunities of Membership

THE PACIFIC COUNCIL NETWORK  |  The Pacific Council connects its members to a diverse network of global and globally-oriented leaders in business, politics, academia, and civil society by inviting them to exchange ideas and information on issues central to the global agenda. The Pacific Council’s membership is centralized on the US West Coast, particularly in California, and includes a robust National and International membership network.

INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS PROGRAMMING  | Our annual programming features prominent figures in the fields of international policy, international economy & business, international law, culture, and other relevant industries. Regular conference calls engage national and international authorities on timely issues and provide up-to-date and in-depth information on current affairs. Members can also engage in the international policy debate through specialized member committees, member-hosted forums, and other activities. All general programming is open and complimentary to members of the Pacific Council.

SPECIAL EVENTS  |  The Pacific Council organizes two annual foreign policy symposia, the Spring Conference and the Members Weekend. Designed for members, by members, the Spring Conference taps into the deep wells of insight and expertise within our membership network and serves as a forum for members to connect and debate timely issues. The Pacific Council’s premier annual event, the Members Weekend, convenes key global leaders for intimate, invitation-only discussions with the Pacific Council’s membership in a retreat setting at the Pacific Coast in Santa Monica, California.

MEMBER COMMITTEES  |  The Pacific Council ’s Member Committees organize programs and activities on particular countries or issue areas, in addition to the Pacific Council ’s regular event line-up. Member Committees are designed to both increase members’ substantive engagement on key issue areas and to deepen connections between members with similar interests. Committee members receive preferential access to committee activities and have the opportunity to define and help produce committee outputs; committee membership is complimentary and voluntary, and open to all Pacific Council members. There are currently active member committees focused on China, National Security, the Middle East; the Western Hemisphere, and Eurasia.

STUDIES, REPORTS & ARTICLES  |  Members of the Pacific Council gain full access to the Council’s intellectual resources, including timely reports and articles generated by our Task Forces, Member Committees, and distinguished individual members.
